AIDE 2014 will be held at Gull Lake Ministries, Hickory Corners, MI from 2:00 PM EDT on Monday, October 20th, until at 12:00 PM EDT on Friday, October 24th. This program is designed to equip the Catholic Charities network, diocesan staff, and partner agencies for their roles in disaster preparedness and response. AIDE offers the Catholic Charities network, Dioceses and Parishes an unparalleled opportunity to engage colleagues on critical disaster issues and to prepare for disasters. When a disaster strikes, agencies and parishes are called to be prepared; not only to continue their own operations, but also to meet the immediate and long-term needs of their parishioners and general community. Three focused learning tracks are available for a tailored learning experience:

This hands-on disaster preparedness, response and recovery training is recommended for all Catholic Charities agency staff, including programmatic staff and agency directors, Diocesan staff and other personnel designated as having a role in disaster activities. This is also open to Parish staff and partner agency members (ex. Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul, etc.).

AIDE 2014 will take place at Gull Lake Ministries, Hickory Corners, MI (http://www.gulllake.org/). Your registration fee covers room and board. AIDE will begin at 2:00 PM EDT on Monday, October 20th, and conclude at 12:00 PM EDT on Friday, October 24th. Please make your travel plans accordingly. Participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements at their own expense to and from the Retreat Center.
