2014 Leadership Institute
Integrating Leadership and Management with Theology and Spirituality
Designed for Catholic Charities directors, administrators, and program directors who are seeking to seriously engage in a week long process of personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Although the Institute is intense, conscious attention is given to balancing content, reflection, community building, relationships, and leisure.
The Leadership Institute is designed to:
- Foster a deeper understanding of the foundations for the identity and mission of Catholic Charities, e.g., Scripture, theology, spirituality, and Catholic social teachings;
- Develop strategies for implementing the mission of Catholic Charities with a diverse staff—ethnic, cultural, religious— serving and working in a multicultural church and a pluralistic society;
- Deepen an understanding and claiming of personality traits, styles of learning, leadership, negotiation, and empowerment that enhance one’s role;
- Integrate the knowledge, processes, and spirituality of the Institute; claim one’s own call to do and participate in God’s work.
