Participants will also have the option of continuing on an optional tour (January 28-31, 2014) of the country of Lebanon. Persons must register for the basic tour in order to register for the optional tour of Lebanon.
Referred to in the scriptures as Tyre and Sidon, Lebanon’s history goes back over 7,000 years and includes the stories of Phoenicians, Romans and the people of the Old and New Testaments. Today, in addition to being located on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea coast, Lebanon is a land of refuge for people from throughout the Middle East. We will combine visits to several historically-significant sites in Lebanon with visits to Caritas Lebanon projects that provide hospitality to refugees and victims of human trafficking. Father Don Senior will lead this optional tour in visits to major historical and religious sites.
Registration for this optional tour is due by September 30, 2013.
